Este 1 de septiembre a las 17:00 horas se desarrollará en el Parque Manuel Rodríguez el Primer Esquinazo Comunitario, una tradicional actividad en Calama que da inicio a un total de 12 intervenciones en el territorio, con los cuales se busca acercar a la comunidad a la música chilena en vivo, bailes y espacios de encuentros para celebrar las Fiestas Patrias.
Esta iniciativa, de la cual participan también las agrupaciones que conforman La Voz del Loa, tendrá en su primera intervención la presentación y música en vivo de “Las Primas”, agrupación folclórica integrada por mujeres que han rescatado gran parte del repertorio popular chileno, especialmente de cantantes femeninas de la historia, y lo han fusionado con nuevas influencias y sonidos.
Serán además cientos de cuequeros los que animen la jornada al ritmo de nuestro baile nacional, una iniciativa que de acuerdo a las palabras del alcalde Eliecer Chamorro, tiene especial sentido por involucrar a toda la comunidad.
Los esquinazos que se desarrollarán durante el mes de septiembre tendrán un formato barrial, es decir, que se intervendrán artísticamente distintas juntas vecinales de la ciudad, lo cual cabe destacar, no hará que las actividades sean exclusivas de estos puntos, por lo que ciudadanos de cualquier parte de Calama podrán acercarse a formar parte de estos encuentros tradicionales.
